Accounting for Candidates Program
The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) provides this forum for Candidates for public office to meet Certified Public Accounts who are interested in participating in the election process by providing a civic service to candidates on a pro bono basis, as mutually agreed by the CPA Volunteer and Candidate. GSCPA does not participate in matching Candidates and CPA Volunteers, and does not participate in providing services to Candidates other than providing this forum for Candidates and CPA Volunteers.

CPA Volunteers

CPA Volunteers may visit the website of Candidates to become acquainted with the Candidates. CPA Volunteers may contact Candidates directly to explore their interest in assisting a Candidate.

The Tax Guide for Georgia Legislators, prepared by the Georgia Society of CPAs, provides information to assist legislators in the preparation of various income tax returns. Although this guide is an excellent reference tool, it is not meant to be used as the sole basis for making final decisions regarding each particular tax situation.
